Manga Mate complies and operates with Australian Consumer Law.
Please note that we are not required to provide a refund, replacement or store credit if you change your mind.
To be eligible for a return, your item must have either:
- been significantly different to the intended product image or description
- been unsafe or harmful
- not done what what we said it would, and cant be easily fixed
You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
For items damaged in transit (e.g. Water Damage, Broken items, etc.), please contact Australia Post as well, for a quicker resolution.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
If your item has been affected or altered by you or someone else, we will not be able to provide compensation. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Various Book Publishers often have small quirks or print-defects on their mass produced volumes - in these instances, we are not able to offer an exchange as it is not something we can control. This includes off-centered spines and tiny rips on cover/spine ends (frequent on Kodansha Volumes).
This does not include volumes with cuts, faded/ripped pages, and any instances where reading the volume is affected.
Sometimes older Series can have mild yellowing on pages, as it has been many years since they have been sold - unfortunately they are delivered to us in this state, and is not a result of our stocking methods.
Figurine Boxes frequently get bumps and creases in-transit, and we do not accept returns/refunds in these scenarios, except when the actual Figurine inside is damaged.
If you notice that your figurine is damaged, please contact us immediately.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on most sale items and gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted (and credited), make a separate purchase for the new item
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Pre-Order item Refunds
All Pre-Order Items are eligible for a refund up to a week (7 days), if you have changed your mind. We can not offer any refunds once the 7 days has passed, as we have already allocated the cost to your order.
If you have changed your mind before the 7 Days has passed, please contact us for either a refund, partial refund, or store credit.
Exchanges/Store-Credit on Pre-Order items
Although we cannot provide refunds for Pre-Order items, we can provide an exchange for any in-stock items at any time. The same goes for offering store-credit of equal value to your purchase, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
